Born in 1995, she lives in White Pine Bay, Oregon with her father, Will Decody (Ian Hart/Andrews Howard), a former professor who moved from Manchester, England. He runs an antique store, likes Taxidermy and cares for Emma. Currently waiting for a lung transplant, Emma’s life expectancy is 27 years.

Luckily,  Dylan Massett (Max Theiriot), a marijuana dealer and incestuous son of Norma Bates (via her brother Caleb Calhoun) loaned Will Decody money to get Emma on a short list for a transplant and soon after she went to Portland for surgery.  Emma’s mother Audrey Ellis (Karina Logue) who abandoned her daughter eight years earlier came to the hospital with well wishes.

Happily, Emma’s transplant surgery was a success and now she had a chance to live normal life in Seattle, Washington with Dylan, whom she now loves.

But there may be a problem, because Norman Bates, Dylan’s half brother, is an up-and-coming serial killer. He strangled Audrey Ellis with a scarf, and it’s quite possible Emma may not make it past her 27th birthday after all.

Norman’s first kill was his father Sam Bates after he beat his wife Norma. Norman did not remember the event and so his mother made the murder look like a freak accident where a shelf fell on her husband. Then she moved from Arizona to Oregon to start a new life and that is where Norman first met Emma.
