Scotty Wilson (James Troesh), a quadriplegic lawyer paralyzed from the neck down who moved about in a motorized wheelchair equipped with chin controls.

The Scotty character appeared for three seasons on this fantasy series about an angel from heaven who helped those in need.

Note: James Troesh broke his neck at the age of 14 when he fell off the roof of his friend’s house after accidentally hitting a high voltage wire.

Years later, Troesh’s wife, Teresa, sent a script about their love affair to Michael Landon, the program’s producer and their characters were written into a few of the show’s episodes.

Jim Troesh died on Oct. 1 2011 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. He was 54.

In 2008, Troesh wrote, directed and starred in the TV pilot “The Hollywood Quad.”

His other acting credits include BOSTON LEGAL, SPECIAL UNIT, NOTES FROM THE UNDERGROUND, RISE AND WALK: THE DENNIS BYRD STORY and AIRWOLF.
